The SCC program provided support to the Delaware Greenways, Inc. to assist in the development of a nomination application submitted to the Delaware Department of Transportation to seek designation for The Lewes Scenic and Historic Byway in the City of Lewes. In June 2009, DelDOT announced the city's gateway roads had been approved as state scenic and historic byways. This approval paves the way for additional grants to aid in planning and reservation along the main routes into the city. The document contains many excellent photos of interesting buildings, places and natural phenomena.
